Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew could not hide his excitement after the senior national team B won the WAFU Cup on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Ghana played Nigeria in the final of the tournament with Maxwell Konadu’s team winning by four goals to one.

Stephen Sarfo scored Ghana’s first goal in the first half with Vincent Atingah, Sarfo and Winful Cobbinah adding in the second half for Ghana’s four goals.

Nigeria’s only goal in the game came from Rabil Ali as Black Stars B won the trophy on the day.

Andre Ayew took to his twitter page to send a message to the team writing:

"Congratulations to our local Black Stars for winning WAFU Cup. Great guys. God bless you all for your achievement for our country."

Andre was a substitute for his West Ham United side in the English Premier League on Saturday as they were beaten on home soil by three goals to two.
